As seen from Rigg Lane. This view of the Quernmore valley was taken from near the old Friends Meeting House (now a private dwelling), looking
towards the church. On the right, in the distance, is a farm called
Askew Hill. In the far distance in the centre, just beyond Caton and
Brookhouse, is the Lune valley, though you cannot see it. I am indebted to a former resident of Quernmore who identified the view and wrote to me about it.
