Walk Mill, Stapleford
This is a modern reconstruction of the mill demolished in the 1960s. The weather vane is dated 2006 and the undershot waterwheel is 2008. It is a commercial flour mill, bakery and cafe and mills on a daily basis to keep pace with orders. Unfortunately it was not milling today because heavy rain meant the river was too high for safely closing the steel gate that diverts water through the wheel.
