Infirmary Street bus point
Infirmary Street bus point
Infirmary Street forms a small bus station at the opposite end of Leeds city centre from the main facility. Although it is a one way street, it has been turned into a dual carriageway in order to accommodate more bus stops, with traffic traversing both carriageways in the same direction. The bus point (for some reason, Metro, the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, do not admit that it is a bus station) essentially replaced the bus stands that were situated in City Square before the latter's pedestrianisation. The bright orange bendybus is on the shuttle service between Leeds City station, the University of Leeds main campus, and the large student accommodation complex at Bodington Hall.
