Scolt Head National Trust sign
Scolt Head National Trust sign
When crossing onto Scolt Head Island from Burnham Deepdale, this sign stands up on a small ridge on the north side of the crossing of Norton Creek, forming something of a landmark.

Please note: The crossing of Scolt Head Island from end to end is perfectly possible but only with careful planning and a knowledge of the tides. Do not attempt the crossing unless you are fit and know when it is low tide in the area. Cross on a falling tide and be prepared for deep mud in places at the western end.
