Bus in Bilston bus station
Bus in Bilston bus station
On the west side of Bilston bus station, a bus loads before setting off to Walsall. This view shows part of the interesting main structure of the bus station, which (if memory serves) dates from the early 1990s. The bus station is formed of a single rectangular building, with bus stands on all sides, that provides enclosed waiting facilities and a cafe as well as partially sheltered seating outside (visible on the right of this view). The road in the foreground provides vehicular access to the market, which has both indoor and outdoor stalls and is located to the photographer's left. The tower of the very distinctive church of St Leonard is visible in the background to the left of the bus station (see SO9596 : St. Leonard's Church, Bilston).
