Site of old dwellings or huts
Site of old dwellings or huts
Two stone buildings are indicated on the map here but are now long gone, unless seen as piles of dressed stone in the bracken and there are a few straight lines indicating a possible wall line maybe. It was here that the Reverend John Price dwelled in his little leaky thatched croft or hut and became known as 'the Solitary'. He was visited by the Reverend Francis Kilvert and a colleague.
