I have never seen this display before despite being a frequent and enthusiastic visitor to this place. For perhaps half a mile along the banks of this path there was a profusion of Papaver somniferum in a range of colours. How did they come here? Perhaps the seeds were in the soil used recently to upgrade the accessibility of the path. In the background are the sandhills bordering the Burnham Overy beach, a small piece of heaven.
