Burnley Road, Mytholmroyd, after the flood
Burnley Road, Mytholmroyd, after the flood
Many houses and shops were flooded. Russell Dean Fine Furnishings (SE0126 : Russell Dean Fine Furnishings, Mytholmroyd) was badly affected. All this despite extensive works to increase the capacity of the river channel. I suspect that the confluence of the Cragg Brook and the River Calder, which meet at right-angles, might be one cause of the problem.
