This wonderful old brick trough is in the field from which "View from the Wolds" was taken. Through this field runs a "Conservation Walk", i.e. a footpath agreed by the permission of the owners through land which is managed by traditional methods (no chemicals). Unfortunately though these fields are full of wildflowers such as orchids, they are also becoming full of ragwort, which is a notifiable weed. I wonder what the future holds!
