Lade Bank Pumping Station - diesel engine
Lade Bank Pumping Station - diesel engine
This is the diesel engine driven pumping station erected in 1939 to replace the original steam plant. It comprises three Ruston horizontal four cylinder diesel engines driving 50" Gwynnes axial flow (propeller type) pumps. As far as I know this station remains operational and it must be most impressive in full cry.
