The town centre is to the left, with university and railway station in the centre. The area of woodland to the right is Summerfield Woods.

Station Plaza

The Hastings Station Plaza is a new development built on the former site of the station goods yard, situated next to Hastings station.

The site includes a 22,000 sq ft University building (opened January 2010), NHS health centre (May 2010) and new apartments (awaiting construction).

NHS Hastings and Rother invested over £16 million in the construction of the Station Plaza Health Centre.

Summerfields Woods

Summerfields Wood Local Nature Reserve is a 7.3 hectares area of semi-natural woodland and freshwater ponds near Hastings town centre. It is a site of nature conservation importance.

There is a grade II listed C19 Roman Baths at the east end of the site, and a walled garden in the middle.
