LNWR Warehouse hydraulic power house
LNWR Warehouse hydraulic power house
This building houses two motor driven hydraulic pumps that presumably replaced earlier steam sets. The square structure to the right is the base of the hydraulic accumulator tower. The warehouse is no longer rail connected and is used for storage, including whole floors of motor cars. There are disused hydraulic jiggers in the building but the capstans used to move wagons around the yard have all gone.
