NG3640 : Trudging through the moorland

Trudging through the moorland
Trudging through the moorland
The term 'featureless' springs to mind when attempting to describe this image. The moorland here is fairly flat, and grasses, mosses and heather grow densely. A walker's feet sink into the growth up to the knees, and it is not difficult to poke a hiking pole three feet or more into the soft ground. The weather has been dry for some weeks on Skye. In normal wetter conditions, I am sure the ground here would quickly become boggy.
