Mansfield, Notts (Church Side)
Members of the Newstead Brass Band supporting a group of thespians in the graveyard of St Peter's Church. Behind them is Church Side. Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School was opened on this street in 1567, the letters patent authorising it having been granted by Queen Elizabeth I in 1561. In 1708 the school transferred into the large stone building situated behind the actor playing a shaman, that now serves as The Parish Centre.
