SK8671 : Thorney Bridge

taken 5 years ago, near to Wigsley, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

Thorney Bridge
Thorney Bridge
Carrying the Thorney to Wigsley road over the former Great Central Railway line. The bridge has at some stage been filled in (presumably because it was in danger of collapse) and has later been partially opened out again to allow the passage of the Sustrans 647 cycle route. Note the mounting block provided for equestrians. View from the east.
