Cartmel Priory Gatehouse
Cartmel Priory Gatehouse
A horse and rider enter the 14th century gatehouse, the arch of which remains as a public thoroughfare. The gatehouse is the only part of Cartmel Priory, other than the church, to have survived and has been under the protection of the National Trust since 1946.
