Penysgwarne Farm on Pencaer
Penysgwarne Farm on Pencaer
This is one of several long-established farms on the Pencaer peninsula whose names appeared on a feudal survey of 1326, the recipient being the Anglo-Norman bishop of St Davids. Stonebuilt and spacious, this farm would have been held by a family of considerable social standing, as indicated by the belfry, a feature that contrasts nicely with today's plastic fuel-oil tank, telephone wires and satellite dish.
