Above Site #21 - Vertical Mill, a portion of the stream is diverted into the upstream pond that feeds the mill with the vertical undershot waterwheel at Site #21, and the remaining portion of the stream is diverted to the east & southwest around the Vertical Mill in a trench. The two portions flow back together, near the pedestrian walkway & bridge, and flow under the bridge into an upstream pond for the mill with a horizontal waterwheel at Site #20, a working corn mill with a horizontal waterwheel from Mashanaglas, County Cork. View is to southeast.
