West Lulworth: a slippery diversion
West Lulworth: a slippery diversion
A landslide after recent torrential rain has wiped out the stepped footpath leading down to the beach (just out of shot to the left - see SY8080 : West Lulworth: the path to Durdle Door beach is closed).

The only alternative is this very steep and, because of the same torrential rain, extremely slippery grass slope. I watched many people mimic my own out-of-control, eccentric descent, although one chap, carrying an umbrella and a carrier bag, was able to casusally walk down as if it were nothing!
