Across Blackweir, Cardiff
Looking across the River Taff towards Pontcanna. The original weir here was medieval, built to supply water along a mill stream to Cardiff Mills on the west side of Cardiff Castle. The present weir dates from the early nineteenth century, built to feed the new docks in Cardiff.
