Ty'n-y-mynydd - a hill-slope ruin
Ty'n-y-mynydd - a hill-slope ruin
This ruined farmstead was built on a steep slope adjacent to the Bwlch-y-groes quarry and was bordered on two sides by the quarry. It almost certain that the small-holder was also a quarryman and very likely worked at Bwlch-y-groes quarry. He had the advantages and disadvantages of 'living above the shop'.
