This ornate drinking fountain was erected on Plymouth Hoe in 1881. It was paid for by Charles Norrington, Mayor of Plymouth and dedicated to the memory of his wife. Behind the fountain is part of the northern side of Plymouth Hoe which slopes down towards the city centre.
