Remains of a timber pond
For further details, see NS4074 : Remains of a timber pond, which shows what remains of the outer edge of the timber pond. The present photograph shows another side of the timber pond; that side leads out from the top of the beach, and is now apparent only as an alignment of patches of seaweed, starting from just left of centre at the bottom edge of the photo, and receding directly away from the photographer's position.
That line ends in a three-way junction, near some dark rocks: two other lines can be seen meeting there, one of them entering from the right-hand edge of the photo, and the other from the left; the last of those lines is also shown at the link given above.
The hill situated centrally in the background is NS3871 : Barscube Hill (also shown in NS3871 : Barscube Hill). In addition, NS3973 : Garrison Perch Light Beacon can be seen near the right-hand edge of the present photograph.
