Vallay House [Taigh Bhalaigh]
Vallay House [Taigh Bhalaigh]
This rather spooky ruin on the island of Vallay was once a grand house and the home of Erskine Beveridge, a textile magnate from Dunfermline in Fife. He lived out here and spent much of his time excavating archaeological sites throughout the Outer Hebrides. He died in 1920 and the house must have been abandoned at some point after that.
