Blists Hill - former blast furnaces
The furnace bases are seen in the foreground with the charging bank beyond. This is at the level of the canal bank. The big building on the left is one of the blowing engine houses and contains a large steam blowing engine that has been relocated from a local works. This is sadly now out of bounds due to the building being unsafe. The site's reconstructed ironworks is alongside.
