Upper Precinct

A brightly coloured Upper Precinct seen from the balcony area. The childrens' roundabout has taken residence for the summer holidays and the balcony is clad with orange London 2012 banners and bunting. The balcony area of the Upper Precinct was never really a success from its earliest days in the 1950s and 60s as very few shops were based on this floor and those on multiple floors removed their upper entrances over the years, one exception being BHS, on the left.
