Inverkip railway station
A new footbridge is being installed at around 5:30am to avoid disruption to railway traffic. The previous footbridge was removed when the line was electrified and singled in the late 1960s. The bridge includes a lift (unusual for an unstaffed station) as it was impossible to construct a Disability Discrimination Act compliant bridge in the available space.
