Moirlanich Longhouse
Moirlanich Longhouse
This building is a rare survivor of the Scottish longhouse, a building in which a family and their livestock lived under one roof. It was occupied for generations by the Robertsons - a family of Gaelic-speaking tenant farmers. The last family member left in 1968. Moirlanich was purchased by the National Trust for Scotland in 1992.
