Westonzoyland Pumping Station
The preserved land drainage steam pumping station at Westonzoyland. The tall buildings on the left are the pumping station with the superintendent's house in front. Adjoining is the tall brick chimney that was rebuilt in the 1980s (I think). The low square building in the foreground is the 1951 pumping station with a diesel driven pump that was running when we arrived. The long low range includes a forge and a room full of steam pumps. At the right is the 'leaning loo'. At the extreme right is the smoking stack of the Marshall portable boiler used for steam raising.
