Bradford Trolleybus outside Thornbury Depot
Taken on a dull day in October 1969, this photo shows 723 (DKY 723) a 1946 Karrier W trolleybus with East Lancs 63-seater bodywork dating from 1958 outside Thornbury Depot having worked on route 46 from Bradford City Centre to Buttershaw. This depot was closed to trolleybus operation on the 31st July 1971 and to motorbuses on the 27th March 1977 when the new Bradford Interchange and Garage opened for business, SE1632 refers. Since then, the depot was used as industrial premises, but has recently been demolished and is now a car park. Its postcode was BD3 7AE.
