SU4702 : Fawley Power Station

taken 11 years ago, near to Calshot, Hampshire, Great Britain

Fawley Power Station
Fawley Power Station
Looking towards the power station from the path along the western edge of Calshot Marshes. The land to the left of the path is reclaimed land, presumably created in the 1960s when the power station was built. The station originally had four oil-fired 500MW generating units, but now two of these have been decommissioned. One of the remaining units was mothballed, but has recently been brought back into service.
