Penzance: Mount Street Chapel
It was built in 1899, but that is almost the only thing I have been able to discover about it. Even the name of the street is uncertain, as different names are given by different authorities. O S think it is Leskinnick Terrace, but Google Maps (notoriously prone to error on street names) have it as Penwith Street. Lovejoy's (see below) thought it was Mount Street. Perhaps the local council don't even know themselves. Perhaps the Post Office do. I don't.
The chapel is not used for religious purposes now. Its last user was, I believe, Lovejoy's Furniture Store, but that concern is now closed. Also - why are there twin entrances? Did men and women have to go in separately? Or possibly one entrance was for saints (sheep) and the other for sinners (goats).
