Swan emblem on Marlow lamp post
Swan emblem on Marlow lamp post
Some lamp posts in Marlow including this one in the passage from All Saints Church to St Peter Street have a plaque with a swan, the heraldic symbol of Buckinghamshire. It has a neck collar and a chain - or in heraldic terms it is "ducally gorged with Chain reflexed over the back Or".
