Blue green algae warning sign, Spade Oak lake
Blue green algae, cyanobacteria, can produce a bloom on water surface which grows explosively in hot sunny weather. Dogs and cats are susceptible to being poisoned particularly if they lap the bloom-covered water. Here the owners of the lake warn of the potential danger.
