SP4115 : Combe Mill - waterwheel

Combe Mill - waterwheel
Combe Mill - waterwheel
This shows the water supply to the breast shot waterwheel. The wheel dates from the 1850s and powered the sawmill until the 1950s. It is now turning again with a pumped supply to the headrace. The axle is wooden and the spokes, shrouds and buckets are metal making me think it has been rebuilt on an original axle.
