Hampton Court, King's Lynn
Hampton Court, King's Lynn
In the archway, through to The East Wing, is this cannon ball hanging from the roof. It said to have destroyed the original western window of St Margaret's Church.
The entire buildings of Hampton Court were in a complete state of disrepair by the 1950s, but two wings were saved and restored when bought by Mrs E. A. Lane, and the other two were saved when restored by the King's Lynn Preservation Trust. In 1962 Mrs Lane donated her part to the Trust and the whole was then converted into 15 individual dwellings.
