SD6594 : Rough Fell sheep on Arant Haw

3 km from Sedbergh, Cumbria, Great Britain

Rough Fell sheep on Arant Haw
Rough Fell sheep on Arant Haw
We saw several breeds of sheep on our round of Arant Haw but the most common were Rough Fell. This ewe has been shorn of her long, flowing fleece and probably glad of it given the warm, humid conditions this afternoon. Across the gulf of Swarth Greaves Beck is the nameless north west spur of the hill which we will descend later. Beyond and above are Calders (right) and Bram Rigg Top, heights on the main Howgills plateau.
