The structure of the wheel as seen from one of the capsules.
Wheel of Plymouth
The Wheel of Plymouth is situated on The Hoe close to the mini-golf. It was erected and opened to the public in 2011. However, Plymouth City Council have insisted it is dismantled and removed by 7 January 2013.
The Wheel contains 42 air-conditioned capsules and gives amazing panoramic views of the city and surrounding coastal area.
It is 53 metres in diameter and dwarfs Smeaton's Tower.
