Wortham Ling
Wortham Ling
Wortham Ling is a wonderful area of lowland heath with a huge population of rabbits. Green woodpeckers are very common here and in late spring the roadsides are lined with meadow saxifrage. This nature reserve and common is very popular with dogwalkers and has a many different habitats with a varied plantlife. This photograph was taken on a clear winter day and the colours of mosses, lichens and low growing plants are very clear against a background of scrub and trees.
