This part of the display with the two red plumes of smoke was in memory of the two pilots who were killed in the accidents in 2011.

The Red Arrows - Seven Plane Formation

As a result of the unfortunate accidents in 2011 and the fact that the first female Red Arrows pilot left the team, the 2012 display programme comprises seven planes. However in 2013 the Red Arrows will once again perform with nine planes.
