SE6115 : Former railway line
near to Sykehouse, Doncaster, Great Britain

Former railway line
This line was opened by the Hull and Barnsley and Great Central Joint Committee in 1916 to provide a route for coal from the Doncaster area to reach the port of Hull for export. The line had a short life, closing in 1958. There was no regular passenger service.
The route has clearly been used by wheeled traffic but the landowner has attempted to stop this by digging a trench.
