Tring - Beacon to welcome the Paralympics Torch
Tring - Beacon to welcome the Paralympics Torch
The Paralympic Torch relay finally arrived in Tring at about 1.00am (see SP9211 : Tring - The crowd waits for the Paralympics Torch). On hearing news that the torch had arrived at Donkey Lane at the western end of the town, this beacon in front of Tring Church was lit.
The leaping flames remind me of an heraldic beast, a serendipitous result of the vagaries of fire.
