This landscape feature, adjacent to the current permissive bridleway, which is on the left, may have been a packhorse route up on to the ridge out of the valley. One of the streams feeding the reservoir runs on the right and parallel to the feature, so although this may look like a ditch, it seems unlikely to have been one.
