Beachy Head
Beachy Head is a chalk headland on the south coast of England, close to Eastbourne in East Sussex, immediately east of the Seven Sisters. The cliff there is the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162 m (530 ft).

Beachy Head Lighthouse
Beachy head lighthouse is situated 165 metres seaward from the base of the cliffs, it was bought into service in 1902.

Beachy Head lighthouse was automated and demanned in June 1983. It is monitored 24 hours a day from the Trinity House Operations Control Centre at Harwich in Essex.
