TV4899 : Seaford station (1)

taken 12 years ago, near to Seaford, East Sussex, England

Seaford station (1)
One of Southern's class 313 EMUs waits to leave Seaford's only operational platform as the 1525 to Brighton. Rendered surplus from London Overground, these units are presumably with Southern as a temporary measure as they date from 1976, making them among the oldest passenger rolling stock on the National Rail network. The location of this picture corresponds quite closely with TV4899 : Animated scene on the platform at Seaford, after arrival of RCTS Sussex Rail Tour, taken almost fifty years earlier.
