Old railway station, Morecambe
The former railway station building at Morecambe. The station closed in the 1990s when the railway was shortened. It now terminates at a new station a short distance away, closer to Morecambe town centre but further from the seafront. The old station building now houses the tourist informaiton centre as well as a pub and entertainment venue.
The seahorse to the right of the image is one of a pair which are a distinctive external feature of the Midland Hotel, built in the 1930s right on Morecambe's seafront.
