Church of St Jude & St Paul, Mildmay Grove North
This handsome Anglican church, originally St Jude's, was built in 1855 to a design by A.D. Gough. This was a time when the Islington area was expanding rapidly and several new churches were built to accommodate the increased population, with the old parish divided accordingly. The church was enlarged in 1871 and again in 1906. However, by 1980 Islington had too many churches and the nearby St Paul's Church (the other side of Newington Green Road) was abandoned, this church then becoming St Jude and St Paul's Church.
