Former Leicester Central Station, Great Central Street, Leicester
Brick and terracotta, a fine curved entrance to the parcels office with attractive lettering (SK5804 : Great Central Railway Parcel Office). Built 1897-99 by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway Company's engineer, Edward Parry, the last train left in 1969.
At the time of writing, regeneration plans are apparently afoot, but for now most of what remains appears to be used by small car repair workshops.
