Attenborough Building, University Road, Leicester
Attenborough Building, University Road, Leicester
By Ove Arup Associates, 1968-70, for Leicester University. The distinctive motif ("prickly" thought Pevsner) is the angled windows, designed to provide draught-free ventilation all year round. It is named after Frederick Attenborough, the University's Principal from 1932 to 1951.
It is currently home to a number of the university's arts faculties.
