TA1625 : Hoops
near to Paull, East Riding of Yorkshire, Great Britain

Hoops
Fixed in the concrete at the side of the river frontage south of Paull, the set of metal hoops are about 5" high and 6" wide. Superficially they could be used as mooring loops for boats in the Humber, but at the river edge where they are situated, the river 'beach' is not covered by water for most of the time. Also the river bank is about ten feet above the beach - how do you tie up a boat here!?
The photo was taken on an ultra-wide lens at F22 in the late evening sun.
